Connected in Hope

Founded by a woman and her mother after a life-changing trip to Ethiopia, Connected in Hope is a lifestyle brand that empowers women and families in Ethiopia to rise above poverty. Through hand-woven scarves and leather goods, Connected in Hope employs 100 women in Ethiopia, many of whom are former fuel wood carriers (a notoriously difficult and low-paying job). In return, Connected in Hope offers sustainable income development, improved educational opportunities, and increased access to basic health care. Connected in Hope is a non-profit organization and a member of the Fair Trade Federation.
